RPG Parties: The Hero and the Kat

“Hero and the Kat” is probably one of my all time favorite bands to pull out. They are simply *fun*. Grim’s Gang fits in well with dark and gloomy. They have their humorous sides, but they are essentially all about making their way the best they can in a dark and gloomy world. “Hero and the Kat” are completely different. They have a similar world, but a totally different approach. Roland – the eponymous hero – doesn’t tolerate the world. He doesn’t make do in it. He *transforms* it – and everybody around him. Some of these characters are adapted tropes. Terry Pratchett. The Princess Bride. Some of them just coalesced out of filling out the group. But the essential character of this group is “set Captain Carrot loose in Lankhmar, give him power, and make it *work*”.
