Victorians on Ice: Adventures in Easthaven

Victor and his companions made their way to the far north to investigate trade opportunities with the Ten Towns. Victor felt those areas were ripe for expansion, with lots of potential raw materials available in the Ten Towns area and a variety of customers for finished goods from the South.

Victor haggled with the local merchant to acquire supplies.
Angus was hard at work getting to know the local tradesmen.
Big Jim took to the streets to get in good with the local gangs. It was a tough crowd, but he knew just how to get through to them.
Rose discovered some strange symbols carved into the walls of one of the local huts, and spent some time attempting to decipher them.
Basil made contact with a local water spirit. He was able to ease its burden by returning a lost heirloom sword to a local descendant.
Maura had a long talk with a lonely old drunk, and convinced him to sober up.
Maura also had a “friendly discussion” with a local priest of Tempus. Unfortunately it grew rather heated when he disparaged the very concept of “Noble Sacrifice” to a woman who has dedicated her life to it.

They learned there had been a goblin excursion into the very heart of town! They rescued a stolen skrimshaw carving for a local boy, and Basil attempted to gain insight into the deeper meaning of the events.

Sorry Basil, dead fish tell no tales.

After speaking with Hrothgar, the local leader, Victor discovered that an expected trade caravan had gone missing! He immediately volunteered to take the case. Maura tracked the signs to a local cave… occupied by a tribe of Orc raiders!

An Orc Witch Doctor attempted to use his arts against Angus, but the results weren’t quite the fearsome curse he had anticipated…

They soon came upon the leader and his henchman, and geared up for mass battle.

Rose attempted to magically incapacitate the oncoming horde, but Angus’ interference struck again. Fortunately a hail of slippery flower petals was almost as effective as magical slumber for thinning out the tide.

An Ogre berserker attempted to take off Big Jim’s head, but merely knocked off his cap. Big Jim did *not* take kindly to this. Don’t mess with the cap!
Victor examined the Orcs’ hoard closely, and all missing items appeared to be accounted for.

Upon returning to Easthaven, they learned that Hrothgar was organizing an expedition to assist Kuldar, a town beseiged by mysterious attackers. Victor immediately volunteered their assistance. And so they began to prepare.
