Continuing with my Baldur’s gate re-imaginings. This set fills out a couple more NPCs I sometimes take along – including (as always) their interactions with Imoen.
Alora
CG Halfling Thief
I used the knowledge I gained experimenting with the effects of size/figure terms to make an Alora who truly looks like a female halfling to me. I alternated between “portly” and “paunchy”, as “chubby” was a bit too much. To me she has to look like a girl who is just plain having a blast.

Neera
CN Half-Elf Wild Mage
My conception of Neera is a young woman who never quite gets what she wants when using magic, and thus has a perpetual look of confusion and frustration when things don’t quite turn out as she expected..

Kivan
CG Elf Range
My conception of Kivan has been of a hard, stoic wood-elf bent on revenge and tacking down his wife’s killer. I find a Sioux look works very, very well for wood elves. It combines a lack of facial hair with a very appropriate motif.

Rasaad
LG Human Sun-Soul Monk
I’ve always pictured Rasaad a bit friendlier than his BGEE image portrays. I picture him somewhat like an arabic Bruce Lee – who is happiest when practicing or teaching.

Alora & Imoen
In my head these two would never be able to stop one-upping each other at joke tellin.
Neera & Imoen
Since I envision Imoen as trying to learn magic herself, with none too certain a control, I image the two of them getting up to some mystical hijinx..
Imoen & Kivan
This is another example of Imoen trying to get a smile out of somebody who is determined not to smile.
Imoen & Rasaad
I like to imagine Imoen trying to copy Rasaad’s moves. Everybody was kung-fu fighting….
